
On Tuesday 9 February 1909 the chief justice and former Premier of New Zealand, Sir Robert Stout (1844-1930), boarded the SS Wimmera in Auckland. The Wimmera was bound for southern ports and Sir Robert disembarked in Wellington on Friday February 12, 1909.
Sir Robert Stout was the Premier of New Zealand from 1884 to 1887 and chief justice of the Supreme Court from 1899 to 1926.
