Comte (or Count) Henry Prévost de Brebières briefly visited Australia and New Zealand whilst on a round-the-world tour in 1904-05. He arrived in Australia at Fremantle aboard the Mongolia on 25 January 1905. His tour had previously taken him to India and Ceylon where he boarded the P & O liner at Colombo. He disembarked the Mongolia on reaching Melbourne on Tuesday 31 January.

Within several days of arriving in Melbourne the Count was already in Sydney and a guest at the Hotel Australia. He was booked as a Saloon passenger on the Wimmera which sailed from Sydney for Wellington, New Zealand on Saturday 4 February.
Following the steamer’s arrival in Wellington on 8 February, the Count proceeded to Auckland via Rotorua. He departed New Zealand from Auckland on 17 February aboard the Oceanic Company’s mail steamer Sierra. His next destination was San Francisco where he arrived on 6 March.
