The English actor Arthur Wontner (born Arthur Wontner Smith) was a passenger aboard the ss Wimmera, together with other members of Williamson Dramatic Company, when the ship departed Lyttelton for Melbourne on February 12 1905. The Wimmera called at Bluff and Hobart before arriving at Melbourne on Saturday 18 February 1905.
